Three people, including a child, died after petrol was poured on a co-passenger on a moving train

New Delhi:A man poured petrol on a co-passenger in a moving train and set him on fire. He died on the train. Seeing the terrible fire in the room, a woman fell down with her child from the train while trying to escape. Their bodies were later recovered from the railway tracks. Nine more people were injured in the tragic incident in Kozhikode, Kerala.

The incident took place around 9.30 pm on Sunday. Two passengers of the Alappuzha-Kannur Express got into an altercation in the D1 coach. Suddenly, a man poured petrol on the co-passenger and set him on fire. Immediately, the fire broke out inside the coach of the moving train. The man was burnt to death on the train. The rest of the passengers pulled the chain and stopped the train. However, the passengers extinguished the fire before the police arrived at the spot.
