New Delhi: New York Times did not pay Twitter a fee, Elon Musk also removed the company’s Blue Tick newspaper from Twitter. The incident has now triggered a debate between Twitter and The New York Times. After Twitter’s move, the New York Times wrote on Twitter, “Now the company does not have any certified badges and blueties.

Both these things have been taken away by Twitter. Twitter has now started strictly implementing its Blue Tick subscription policy. Blue Tick has been removed from the accounts of non-paying users. Many have also reacted to the removal of the certified Blue Tick from the main profile of ‘The New York Times’ by the Elon Musk-owned company. The New York Times says the paper does not pay any money for an authenticated business account. The paper will only subscribe to The Blue Tick for journalists, who think it is necessary for their news gathering needs.
