Mumbai: Legendary Hollywood actor Richard Gere came to India in 2007 to attend an AIDS awareness camp in Rajasthan. Shilpa was also in that camp. Suddenly Richard kissed Shilpa in front of everyone. There was a lot of controversy over this incident.
Both hollywood and Bollywood stars were booked on charges of indecency. Later, the case was transferred to the Mumbai court on the orders of the Supreme Court. The metropolitan magistrate’s court in Mumbai had dismissed the case in 2022. In fact, the judge also dismissed the case saying that Shilpa was a victim of the Hollywood star’s misbehaviour.
