New Delhi: Corona infection in the country has been increasing for the last few days. The deadly virus has started to scare again. That is why Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a virtual high-level meeting with all the states. Everyone has been warned to be cautious.
According to the Health Ministry report, more than 6,000 people have been infected with covid-19 in the last 24 hours. This is the first time in 203 days that the number of daily cases is so high. Although the situation is not as worrisome as in Maharashtra or Kerala, the rate of infection in Bengal is also increasing than before. In the last 24 hours, 44 people have been infected in Bengal. Which Of these, 14 people have been infected in Kolkata alone. Burdwan is in second place. In that district, six of the infected are admitted to the hospital. Apart from this, two 24 Parganas and Hooghly are also worried in terms of infection. Mansukh Mandaviya held a virtual meeting with representatives of all the states on Friday.
Earlier, it was decided that keeping in mind the corona situation, mock drills will be conducted in every hospital in all the states on April 10 and 11. Mandaviya also asked the health ministers to visit hospitals on April 8 and 9 to assess how preparations were being made. All hospitals have also been instructed to be prepared from identifying emergency hotspots, emphasizing on testing.
