Noida: A school boy has been arrested by noida police for allegedly issuing death threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The class 12 student was nabbed from Lucknow on Friday.
The teenager had sent an email to a media office threatening to kill Modi and Yogi. The media approached the police with this email. On April 5, police registered an FIR against unidentified persons in connection with the incident. The investigation begins. Police arrested the 16-year-old boy on Friday.The arrested teenager is a resident of Bihar. The boy has just passed the 11th class examination and has been admitted to the 12th grade. Police sources said they are investigating why the teenager sent an email to the media office threatening to kill the Prime Minister and the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.
In the past too, allegations of threatening to kill the prime minister had come to light. Last year, the Mumbai Traffic Police helpline number received a message threatening Modi on WhatsApp. Earlier in 2018, an email was sent to the Delhi Police Commissioner threatening to kill the Prime Minister.
