New Delhi: Corona is raising new concerns. For two consecutive days, the number of daily victims exceeded 6,000. Although the infection decreased slightly on Sunday, the overall picture is increasing. Masks have already been made mandatory in two states and one union territory to deal with the situation in advance. The Union Health Ministry has also recommended the return of masks.
According to the Health Ministry’s report on Sunday, 5,357 people have been infected with corona virus in the country in the last 24 hours. In the last two days, the number was a little over 6,000. At present, the number of victims in the entire country is 4 crore 47 lakh 56 thousand 616. With relief, the country’s daily positivity rate has come down to 3.39 percent. The weekly positivity rate has also increased to 3.54 per cent.
The number of active patients in the country is also increasing a little bit every day. At present, the number of active patients is 32,814. In the last 24 hours, a total of 11 people have died of the deadly virus. As a result, the total number of deaths in the country has increased to 5 lakh 30 thousand 965, but in the meantime, the recovery rate is giving relief. 98.74 percent of the patients have given up on corona.
Learning from the dangers of the last few years, the central and state governments are already alert. After holding a high-level meeting in a hurry, the Centre has suggested to return the masks. Similarly, masks have been made mandatory in populated areas of three states. These include Haryana, Kerala and Puducherry. The Haryana government has said that masks will have to be worn in government offices, shopping malls and places where more than 100 people are likely to gather. In Kerala, it is mandatory for the elderly to wear masks. In Puducherry too, the administration has ordered the wearing of masks in populated areas.
