New Delhi: The CBI has collected the voice samples of senior Congress leader Jagdish Tytler, an accused in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. Three persons were killed in the Pul Bangash area of New Delhi in the Sikh riots that followed the death of Indira Gandhi. The Congress leader is accused of being the conspirator behind the murder. He is accused of inciting miscreants.
Jagdish Tytler visited the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Delhi on Tuesday. It was there that his voice samples were collected. But why is it almost four decades old? Sources claimed that the central agency has just found new evidence related to the riots. And that’s why Jagdish has been called.
But while talking to the media while leaving the laboratory, he practically lost his temper. “I am ready to be hanged if there is a single piece of evidence against me. What have I done?” he asked, adding, “It has nothing to do with the 1984 riots case. In another case, my voice sample was sought. ”
The anti-Sikh riots started after the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi at the hands of her own Sikh bodyguards. At least 3,000 people were killed in the riots. However, as a private figure, three thousand people were victims of the riots in Delhi alone. The total number in the country is 8,000. Jagdish Tytler’s name has emerged as the main accused in this case. Three before. He was acquitted by the CBI. But there is a buzz that new evidence has been found against the 78-year-old Congress leader. He became a minister in the Manmohan Singh government in 2004. However, in the end, he had to resign in the face of protests.
