New Delhi: The Vande Bharat Express, the country’s fastest train, is believed by many to run at a speed of 180 km per hour, but the train runs at a speed of around 83 km per hour.
This has come to light under the Right to Information Act. India’s fastest train Vande Bharat Express – not running at a speed of 180 kmph – is instead running at an average speed of 83 kph, according to an RTI reply. According to a PTI report, the semi-high speed train is running at a very low average speed due to poor track conditions, which limits the peak speed of the train, which is designed to touch 180 km per hour.
