New Delhi: India has responded to Pakistan’s claims on the Kashmir issue, which has been at loggerheads for years between the two countries. India pulled back Pakistan after the issue of Jammu and Kashmir was raised at the
UN Security Council meeting in New York. India’s permanent envoy to the UN Ruchira Kamboj claimed that she would not waste the time of the meeting in response to Pakistan’s remarks. Reacting strongly to Pakistan, Kamboj said a decision has already been taken in the UN Security Council on the issue of “maintaining international peace and security”. Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram referred to Jammu and Kashmir in the debate, chaired by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. After his remarks, Kamboj said “I will not waste the time of this council in responding to these comments.
