New Delhi: All state governments are ready to deal with cyclone Mocha. Additional alert has been sounded in coastal areas like Sundarbans and Digha. But which way will this cyclone go? Where is it likely to hit? What will be the impact in Bengal? Now the weather office has a big update on this.
“A clear low pressure area has formed over southeast Bay of Bengal on Tuesday,” said Sanjib Banerjee, director of the Meteorological Department’s eastern region. It will intensify into a deep to very deep depression by tonight. It will be located in the adjoining areas of South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal. Cyclone Mocha is likely to form over east-central Bay of Bengal on Wednesday. It will move north and northwestwards. However, moka will take a turn north and northeast on Thursday. Bangladesh and Myanmar will move forward with the direction of the coast. In other words, it is unlikely to have an impact in Bengal.
