Rs 100 crore defamation case filed against Kharge over Bajrang Dal ban Summoned court

New Delhi: After the Congress’ victory in Karnataka, political analysts had claimed that the Chanakya-run of Mallikarjun Kharge had united the minority vote in the state. Which went in congress’ favour.

The party’s election manifesto had said that “Bajrang Dal will be banned if voted to power”. The Congress president has been summoned by a court in Sangrur in Punjab in connection with a Rs 100 crore defamation case. A defamation case was filed against him by Hitesh Bhardwaj, president of Bajrang Dal Hindustan. Accordingly, the court issued summons in Kharge’s name.
