Accused of supporting Imran! Pakistan Parliament passes resolution against Chief Justice

Islamabad: The National Assembly of Pakistan has passed a resolution against the Chief Justice of Pakistan. The resolution passed unanimously on Monday. A proposal was moved in the National Assembly to set up a special committee to file a case against Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial. Pakistan’s government has slammed the Supreme Court after imran khan was granted bail.

Pakistan People’s Party leader Shazia Sobia moved the resolution on Monday. It claimed that the Chief Justice had violated the code of conduct. The Pakistan Assembly also accused the Chief Justice of unfairly supporting the former Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Mohammad Asif spoke in parliament in support of the resolution. According to him, parliament has to exercise its constitutional rights in such a situation. Although the proposal has been passed, the committee has not been formed yet. Soon after the resolution was passed, Pakistan’s leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif demanded that the Chief Justice should resign immediately. Because he has played a key role in the crisis in the country.
