On the other hand, DK Shivakumar, a strong contender for the chief minister, has been appointed as deputy chief minister.
Five days after the results were declared, the Congress high command finally took a decision on the Chief Minister of Karnataka. The chief minister and deputy chief minister will take oath on Saturday.
