New Delhi: Today is International Tea Day. This day is celebrated all over the world on May 21 every year. International Tea Day has been observed by the Member countries of the United Nations since december 21, 2019, when the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations adopted a resolution. This day is celebrated to make tea more popular all over the world.
Countries like India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda and Tanzania had celebrated International Tea Day on December 15, but after the UN resolutions, may 21 is celebrated as International Tea Day for the first time in 2020.
