HSLC examinations: Chirang district tops in passing percentage with 88.68 per cent among the districts of Assam

Guwahati: Chirang district has secured the first position among the districts of Assam in the high school examination results. A total of 5502 students appeared in the high school examination in the district. A total of 4879 students passed 1415 in the first division, 2669 in the second division and 795 in the third division. Meanwhile, after the declaration of the results of the high school examination, the parents of the students of Chirang district as well as the inspector of schools, Vijay Vaishnav, are excited.

It may be recalled that in the last year, the district had the lowest results in HSLC examinations. But in this year the district has been able to get the first position in the state. The Inspector of Schools in the district thanked the efforts of the educationists, parents, student organizations and students in this regard. The 5 districts that have topped in passing percentage are Chirang 88.68%, Sivasagar 88.40% pass percentage, Dima Hasao 88.12%, Nalbari 88.02%, Baksa 84.19%.
