New Delhi: There has been a controversy surrounding the inauguration of the new parliament building. The opposition has been vocal about not inviting the president. As of Wednesday, 19 opposition parties had said they would boycott the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at the opposition over the issue. He arrived in New Delhi on Thursday after wrapping up a tri-nation tour of Japan, Papua New Guinea and Australia. The Prime Minister was present at a meeting of non-resident Indians in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday. Returning to Delhi on Thursday, Modi referred to the Sydney rally to take a dig at opposition parties.
