‘Coronation is happening!’: Rahul Gandhi slams PM Modi over inauguration of Parliament building

New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi after inaugurating the new Parliament building in New Delhi. The event appears to be Modi’s “coronation”, he said.

On Sunday afternoon, Rahul tweeted about the inauguration of the Parliament Building. “Parliament is the voice of the people of the country. Taking a dig at Modi, he said, “The Prime Minister has considered the inauguration of parliament building as a coronation. ’’

Modi arrived on Sunday morning to attend the inauguration ceremony of the Parliament Building. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and Union ministers were present on the occasion. Chief ministers of various states were also present. The opposition, however, boycotted the event. Twenty opposition parties attended the event.
