New Dehi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the new Parliament Building with the setting up of the historic Chengol. Many say that with Modi building the new Parliament building amid widespread protests by opposition parties, a long-standing shortage of the country has been met. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has likened the model of the new Parliament Building to a coffin amid the ongoing controversy over the inauguration of the new Parliament Building.
The RJD on Sunday tweeted a picture of a coffin together with pictures from the new Parliament House and captioned it “What is this?” RJD leader Shakti Singh Yadav likened the new Parliament building to a coffin and said, “The coffin in our tweet represents the burial of democracy. The country does not accept it. Parliament is a temple of democracy and it is a place to discuss. “Following the tweet, the Bharatiya Janata Party hit back saying that sedition cases should be filed against those who compare the model of the new Parliament Building with coffins. BJP leader Sushil Modi said, “A case of sedition should be registered against such people who compare the new Parliament House with coffins. “
