Guwahati: Hryansh Deka and Pragyan Basumatary of Guwahati Chess Academy hogged limelight in Guwahati Chess Championship-2023 in Under-7 Category. Hreyansh Deka become champion by scoring perfect 5 points from 5 rounds and remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. Pragyan Basumatary got third position by scoring 3 points. Revansh Sharma got second position by scoring 4 points. Both Hreyansh and Pragyan are selected to represent Guwahati in forthcoming All Assam Inter District Chess Championship.
The tournament was organized by Guwahati Chess Association from 26th to 28th May, 2023 at Shantipur Athletic Club, Guwahati.
Hreyansh and Pragyan are currently undergoing training at Guwahati Chess Academy under Fide Instructor Pranab Kumar Nath. Guwahati Chess Academy congratulated both at their stupendous achievements.
