New Delhi: Last year, the Centre had banned the Popular Front of India (PFI), a Muslim fundamentalist organisation. The Nia on Wednesday launched searches at various locations in Bengaluru. Prime Minister Modi had visited Patna in July last year. At that time, the PFI had conspired to kill him. Today’s search was conducted in connection with the matter.
The NIA has already conducted searches at 16 locations. Four suspects have been arrested. The NIA said it was also examining the documents recovered from these 16 places with the help of local police. It is learnt that the PFI used to run its work from various houses, offices and even hospitals. The NIA is looking into the matter.
