New Delhi: So far 290 passengers have been killed in the Karmandal Express accident in Odisha. The death toll continues to rise with the passage of time. At the same time, Kokrajhar was saved from a terrible train accident. The train accident did not take place in Kokrajhar today. It is learnt that the engine of a lower freight train opens and moves forward. The rest of the coaches of the train stopped on the railway track as the engine opened while it was moving.
The engine left the coaches and moved about six hundred meters. The incident took place about a kilometre away from Kokrajhar railway station. Later, railway officials reached the spot. About half an hour later the freight train resumed its journey with engines installed.
