New Delhi: With the passage of time, the water crisis in the country has touched many places. According to a recent report, nearly 50 per cent of the natural stream in the Himalayan region has dried up.
As a result, thousands of villagers along the river are feared to be facing a shortage of drinking water and water required for irrigation. According to niti aayog the water crisis that often arises in Shimla and other hilly cities of India is a direct result of the drying up of springs in the Himalayas.
