Heavy rains cause landslides on roads in north Sikkim, nearly 2,000 tourists stranded

New Delhi: North Sikkim is suffering from continuous heavy rains. At least 2,000 tourists have been stranded due to landslides on several roads. How do you get home? They’re spending time worrying.

Monsoon has already entered North Sikkim. As a result, several mountainous rivers have been inundated by heavy rains throughout the night. The road is floating in that water. There have been landslides in several places. Road connectivity with Lachung, Lachen and Yumthang has been cut off due to landslides on National Highway 10.
