70 hours of oxygen left, five people on missing submarine, search underway

New Delhi: The tourist submarine ‘Titan’ has been lost in the Atlantic Ocean while visiting the wreckage of the Titanic. There were five people in it. Apart from the pilot of the submarine, ‘Titan’ sailed for titanic with four tourists. The submarine has not been traced for more than 24 hours. Searches are on in full swing in Atlantis.


The submarine Titan sailed from St. John’s, NewFoundland. The submarine had 96 hours of oxygen stock for emergencies. Experts believe that quite a bit of oxygen has already been used. An estimated 70 hours of oxygen is believed to be left on the submarine.
British billionaire businessman Hamish Harding is on board the submarine. The 59-year-old likes to go to unknown places and make new discoveries and experiences. On Sunday, he took to social media to see the wreckage of the Titanic.
The search for the submarine is being carried out by tourism company ‘Vangate’. They were the ones who organized the Titanic visit on the submarine. In addition to the agency, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Canadian Military have joined forces in the search. The Air Force is also assisting in the aerial search. Authorities have assured that all efforts are being made to find the submarine and rescue its tourists at the earliest. But the submarine cannot be identified in the middle of the ocean. In such a situation, more ships will be brought down for search work.
