What exactly happened? Geeta is an MLA from Meera Bhayander in Maharashtra’s Thane district. The civic body evicted the residents of the house from a house there. Without notice. And the house was demolished. All the residents of the house are now on the road. Among them are women and children. The MLA reached the spot.He got into an argument with a man involved in the demolition of the house. Geeta lost her temper while talking to the engineer. He then grabbed the man’s collar and slapped him. Why did he lose his temper like this? Geeta said that she noticed the engineer laughing when she saw homeless helpless women breaking down in tears. He couldn’t be patient anymore. It was then that he slapped her as “incompetent”.
“They demolished the entire house without breaking the illegal construction of the house,” he said, adding that the engineer and his accomplices had also pulled the hair of the women living in the house. For now, he will take up the issue in the Assembly as well, the Maharashtra MLA said.
