Six killed in incessant rains in Himachal Pradesh, mandi-kullu national highway blocked, tourists suffer
New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh has been hit by landslides and harpa floods due to heavy rains. Six people died in the disaster. Another 10 people were injured. Onkar Chand Sharma, principal secretary of the state’s disaster response force, said on Monday. As many as 303 animals died in the rains. So far, the rains have caused a loss of Rs 3 crore. 124 roads were damaged.
Landslides have occurred in many parts of Himachal Pradesh. As a result, the national highway connecting Mandi and Kullu has been blocked since Sunday evening. Tourists are suffering a lot. Traffic on at least 15 km of the road. About 200 people are trapped. Most of them are tourists. There are no empty rooms in any hotel nearby. As a result, they are suffering.
