New Delhi: Twitter has set its mouth on fire in court while filing a complaint against the Centre. The Karnataka High Court has not only accepted Twitter’s demand, but instead ordered a fine of Rs 50 lakh on the microblogging site.
In fact, from February 2021 to February 2022, the Centre ordered the suspension of many social media accounts in this one year. Many tweets were also ordered to be deleted. According to that order, Twitter has deleted several accounts, but has not followed the instructions to block some accounts. In July 2022, Karnataka moved the High Court opposing the Centre’s order.
