Guwahati: An important meeting of the state cabinet was held today at Janata Bhawan in Dispur. A number of important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. At the end of the cabinet meeting, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah briefed at a press conference about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting. According to Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting are as follows:
Under the Arunodaya scheme, the government will give money to an additional 7 lakh new beneficiaries from the month of September.They will get Rs. 1,250 each.
The Olympic Association will be requested to hold the 2025 or 2027 National Games in Assam.
The government will give scooties to students who have passed higher secondary this year as well.
Girls scoring more than 60 per cent, boys who score above 75 per cent will be given scooties this time.
Boys and girls will need 75 per cent marks to get scooty from next year.
The government will give bicycles to 3,78,000 class IX students.Rs 168 crore has been set aside for this.
Reservation for six communities:- In agricultural universities, 8 seats will be reserved for tea tribe, 3 for Moran, 3 for Motak, 6 for Koch Rajbongshi, 4 for Tai Ahom, 4 for Chutiya community. There will also be reservation in BSc Nursing, ANM, GNM training centres.
Those earning less than Rs 4 lakh will get free rice under NFSA.40 lakh new people will be added to this scheme. These people will also get free treatment along with rice.
New rules in the case of school management committees: An elected public representative, a teacher and two alumni of an area should be in the governing body.
Government decision to improve the quality of schools opened in tea gardens.
The cabinet has decided to transfer 1,100 teachers from the tea community to schools in the garden area.
Minister Bimal Bora said earlier it took a lot of permission to open an industry. From now on industries can open without any prior permission except for power and f fire fighting.
In the case of MSMEs, the rest of the papers can be ready within three years of setting up the industry.Entrepreneurs will get three years to open an enterprise and produce such papers.
