New Delhi: The Congress will hold a day-long “Mauna Satyagraha” in support of Rahul Gandhi at all the state headquarters of the party on July 12. Congress leaders and workers have taken up the programme to express solidarity with Rahul Gandhi in times of crisis.
The Congress has claimed that Rahul Gandhi has been “wrongly” convicted in the defamation case and he has been disqualified in the Lok Sabha. Congress general secretary (organisation) K C Venugopal has written to all state unit chiefs in Gujarat asking them to protest on the issue. Venugopal wrote, “The whole world has seen how Rahul Gandhi has been constantly questioning the relationship between Modi and Adani on various platforms and exposing that relationship. His bold move has forced the prime minister and the BJP to take devious steps. As a result, his membership of the Lok Sabha has been revoked and found guilty and disqualified,” he said.
