Kolkata : One more person died in Bengal during the panchayat polls. The spot is Kultali in South 24 Parganas. According to local sources, tmc and BJP clashed over booth capturing on Saturday. One person died. The deceased has been identified as Abu Salem Khan (48).
According to local sources, a ruckus broke out between the ruling and opposition parties at West Gabtala in Jalaberia-1 panchayat area of Kultali on Saturday evening. The vandalism started after the two sides occupied the booth and voted for Chappa. That’s when Abu was beaten to death. The TMC alleged that the BJP and the CPI(M) had tried to capture the booth.
