Guwahati: A couple from Assam have gone missing while in flood hitted Himachal. Debasish Rajkhowa and Shikha Phukan of Parvatipur in Sonari have been missing for 73 hours. Meanwhile, Shantanu Gogoi of Parbatipur, who accompanied the family, is also reportedly missing. The family has appealed to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to rescue the couple.
Several states in north India are now in the grip of floods due to incessant rains. The worst hit is Himachal Pradesh. The state administration issued a statement saying that 72 people have died in Himachal due to rains in the last few days.
