After capturing the python, Jake took it to a sanctuary in southwest Florida, according to media reports. That’s where his length and weight are measured. Another Burmese python was recovered from Florida in October 2020. He was 18 feet 9 inches tall. Until now, it was the world’s longest Burmese python.
