Himachal ravaged by over 120 deaths, landslides

New Delhi: Flood situation across north India during the current monsoon season. From Delhi to Punjab, Uttarakhand or Uttar Pradesh, several states have suffered heavy losses during this year’s monsoon. In Himachal Pradesh alone, more than 120 people have died due to the monsoon.


Landslides in the hills, cloud-breaking rains and harpa floods have claimed many lives. Roads, bridges and houses were damaged in many parts of the state. The monsoon officially entered Himachal Pradesh on June 24. Since then, the figures show that the state has suffered a total loss of Rs 4,636 crore.
