Over 3,000 activists and citizens from across the country have appealed to President Draupadi Murmu to visit Manipur in the wake of violence and protect the rights of kuki-zo women, who have been tortured for two months.
Over 3,200 social activists, academicians, artists, retired officials and citizens, representing hundreds of movements and organisations across the country along with the National Coordination of People’s Movements (NAPM), on Sunday sought the President’s urgent intervention in the “very serious situation” in Manipur, requesting him to visit the state.
