New Delhi: Opposition MPs wore black robes in Parliament to stand with the people of Manipur. Every MP belonging to the India (INDIA) coalition attended Thursday’s session dressed in black. The Opposition has repeatedly demanded a statement from the Prime Minister on the Manipur issue.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament has been adjourned several times. The session of both houses was adjourned till 2 pm on Thursday. According to sources, opposition MPs are likely to hold an emergency meeting with Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge.Earlier, opposition parties had decided that opposition MPs would wear black to protest over the Manipur issue.
