Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is thrilled to see the incredible sight of elephant at Singara Amrit Sarovar of Kamrup district. In a tweet yesterday, the Prime Minister has underlined the importance of Amrit Sarovars and said that- “in addition to water conservation and community participation Amrit Sarovars are also ensuring harmony with those we share our planet”.
Responding to the tweet by the Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma about elephants taking summer dip in the Sarovars at Singra in Kamrup the Prime Minister reacted as Delightful Sight. In addition to water conservation and community participation Amrit Sarovars are also ensuring harmony with those we share our planet. However Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma reacted in his tweet that Amrit Sarovar a divine blessing from Hon’ble Prime Minister holds a unique place in our hearts. Witness the majestic elephants relishing a refreshing summer dip in one of these serene Sarovars at Singra in Kamrup. The Singra Amrit Sarovar is located at 74 no village in Pub Luki of Rajapara area which is constructed over forest land under Singra Reserve Forest in Bandapara Range and executed by Boko Development Block which was funded from Chief Minister Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY). The Sarovar was completed on May 2023 as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
