Supreme Court sets up committee on Manipur, 3 women committee to look into relief and rehabilitation
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has set up a committee on Manipur. New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday ordered the formation of a committee comprising three former women judges of the High Court.
Earlier in the day, Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud directed that a new committee be formed to look into issues like relief, rehabilitation and compensation in troubled Manipur. The committee comprises former Jammu and Kashmir High Court judge Geeta Mittal and former Bombay High Court judge Shalini Funsalkar Joshi. Retired Delhi High Court Judge Asha Menon will be present. The committee will be headed by former judge Geeta Mittal.
