New Delhi, August: Speaking on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha today Union Minister of Home and Cooperation Amit Shah today said that the opposition may not have trust in the Modi government but the people of India have complete trust in it.

He also placed a detailed account of the Manipur violence and the steps taken by the Modi government to mitigate the same.He began his speech by comparing the no-confidence motions brought in by the UPA and NDA. He said that during the no-confidence motions moved by the NDA, Congress won the moves by paying bribes.“The government of Narasimha Rao won the no-confidence motion, but later, many members of that government were sentenced to jail because it was discovered that they had bribed leaders of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha to secure their votes in favour. Today both the Congress and JMM are sitting together,” he said.
