Two Jaguar army jawans killed in firing in Jharkhand, Maoists attack during search

New Delhi: Two soldiers were killed in firing by Maoists on the eve of Independence Day. The incident took place in Tant area of Jharkhand’s Singhbhum on Monday night. According to Jharkhand Police sources. The deceased were jawans of Jaguar police force in Jharkhand.


The deceased have been identified as Amit Tiwari and Gautam Kumar. They were injured during an exchange of fire with the Maoists. They later died. West Singhbhum District Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar confirmed the news to the media.
