New Delhi: While India is sending Chandrayaan-3 to the moon, Russia has also sent a vehicle named Luna-25 to the moon on August 11. The Luna-25 vehicle, which travelled to the moon by short route, sent pictures of the lunar surface for the first time today.
The Luna-25 vehicle has already entered the lunar orbit a week after it was launched from the Vostosoni Cosmodrome in russia’s far east and sent a picture of the moon. Russian space research agency Roscosmos has shared pictures of the lunar surface taken by the vehicle during the mission. Roscosmus shared the picture in a telegram post. The Zeeman crater near the south pole of the moon is visible in the picture.
