New Delhi: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday criticised Democratic Azad Party president Ghulam Nabi Azad for his speech in which he said that “all Muslims in India are Hindus by origin”.
Mehbooba Mufti said, “Azad’s comments are dangerous and divisive. They are similar to the language of RSS, BJP and Jan Sangh.”
On the appointment of Mushal Hussain Malik, wife of JKLF chief Yasin Malik, to the interim cabinet, Mufti said, “I am not the lawyer of Mushaal Hussain Malik, but she is not a terrorist or an accused of terror unlike her husband. But in the BJP, we have terror accused people like Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, who openly call for genocide of Muslims and the BJP is rewarding such people.”
