National Space Day will be observed on August 23, the day when Chandrayaan-3 made a successful landing on the lunar surface

New Delhi: The country has achieved success in the moon mission and a new day. India’s Chandrayaan-3A has become the world’s first country to land on the moon’s south pole. The successful landing of the vehicle on the lunar surface will henceforth be celebrated as National Space Day.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on August 26, announced that National Space Day will be celebrated in India on August 23 every year. On the same day, Prime Minister Modi met isro scientists behind the success of the moon mission. On August 23, 2023, the day the Indian Space Research Organisation successfully landed Chandrayaan-3 on the moon, Modi announced that National Space Day will be celebrated.
