Dehradun: The decision of the Uttarakhand High Court has become a topic of discussion at this time. A single-judge bench of the High Court headed by Justice Pankaj Purohit on Friday said that it is not only the father but also the parents who are responsible for the maintenance of the child.
The decision is based on a recent amendment to Section 125 of the CrPC (relating to the cradle of wives, children and parents) and the interpretation of the word ‘person’ for both genders.
