New Delhi: A picture posted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has surprised people. This picture shows mercury, the smallest planet in our solar system. This picture taken by Messenger, the first spacecraft to orbit the planet, has become a topic of discussion among the people.

NASA also posted a detailed caption with the photo to explain more about the planet. “Slightly larger than Earth’s moon, Mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system, and closest to the Sun, on average, 36 million miles (58 million km) away. While Mercury may be the smallest planet, it is also the fastest, traveling at a speed of about 29 miles (47 km) per second in its orbit, making a year only 88 Earth days on Mercury.
