Bangladesh successful vaccine trial to combat dengue

Dhaka: There is hope among dengue cases across Bangladesh. There has been significant success in the research of dengue vaccines or vaccines in that country. The vaccine, named Tetravalent-005, developed by researchers from the International Center for Disease Research in Bangladesh and Lerner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont in the US, has created immunity in the human body against all four types of dengue virus found in the world.

The aedes mosquito-borne dengue outbreak has been reported in Bangladesh this year as the covid-19 pandemic has not subsided. As of Thursday, the number of people hospitalized with dengue this season has reached 2 lakh, according to official figures. Nine people have died on this day as well, so far
