The leader, who is close to China, made it clear that the presence of Indian troops in the Maldives raises questions about the country’s sovereignty.
Muizu won the election earlier this month and sat on the president’s chair. However, on the first day, he said, “All foreign troops will be removed from the Maldives in accordance with the law.”
