Un proposes ceasefire in Gaza, India refuses to participate in vote

New Delhi:The bloody conflict between The Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel has entered 22 days. Thousands of people are dying in this fight in the Middle East. A resolution on a ceasefire was introduced at the UN General Assembly session.

However, India did not participate in the vote to pass the resolution. New Delhi’s move is said to be due to the absence of mention of the Hamas militant group in the proposed draft. The resolution was presented by Jordan to the United Nations General Assembly session on Friday.
