New Delhi: After Diwali, Delhi is once again covered in pollution. Firecrackers have been burnt in defiance of the Supreme Court order. Since then, the entire city has been covered in fog. On Monday, the air quality index in the capital reported poor air quality. Not only Delhi, the air quality in several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, has deteriorated, according to sources in the Central Pollution Control Board.
Delhi’s air quality crossed the 500-mark at 6.30 am, according to a private company. According to them, Delhi is the most polluted city in the world today. However, the central board said that the air quality in Delhi has deteriorated. Figures on the air quality on the AQI have not been released. However, sources said the AQI was above 300 in several parts of Delhi by 8 am.
