New Delhi: A major accident took place in Jammu and Kashmir. A passenger bus lost control on the highway and fell into a deep gorge. At least 36 passengers were killed. 19 injured.
The incident took place on Wednesday morning near Asar area of Doda district in Jammu and Kashmir. The bus, which was travelling from Kishtwar to Jammu, met with an accident. Jammu Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar said the bus lost control on the Batote-Kishtwar national highway. He overturned and fell into a 300-foot-deep ditch. The rescue team rushed to the spot after receiving the news of the accident. At least 36 people were killed in the incident, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said. 19 injured.
