ITBP jawan killed in Chhattisgarh blast on polling day

New Delhi: The second phase of assembly elections in Chhattisgarh (Chhattisgarh) was held on Friday. An ITBP jawan was killed in an IED blast at Bade Gobra village in Gariaband district after voting was over. Naxals are believed to be behind the blast.

The deceased jawan has been identified as Joginder Singh. He was posted as head constable. Rescue teams rushed to the spot. The first phase of the 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly elections was held on November 7. It was the second phase of polling. Polling for 70 seats was held today. The election results will be declared on December 3.
